Our mission is to save the planet, people and animals one plate at a time. Our founder believes charity starts at home and having a giving spirit, loving heart, open mind and caring about the community where you live and work creates a stronger union.
Soulgood Cares is our social impact initiative designed to have a positive impact in the community we serve. Throughout the year, we host events where we feed homeless children, serve healthy plant-based foods at no cost in food deserts in underserved communities, participate in community health fairs and donate 5% of our revenue to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other local charities.
We are temporarily closed due to the recent pandemic. We want to keep our customers, staff and community safe by temporarily halting all food services. We are all in this together. We are also doing community charity work by partnering with Pecan Lodge to serve emergency responders and Atmos Energy to serve families healthy plant-based food. We have received a generous contribution to the initiative from the nonprofit, Feed the Front Line, which will enable us to work together to serve over 600 hot plant-based meals, prepared by Chef Cynthia in collaboration with Dallas ISD, throughout the month of June.
Feed the Front Line, Happy Tomato Fresh Salsa, Chef Cynthia and many generous sponsors who gave online covered the costs for the first three weeks to help Soulgood food truck distribute150 family style meals with a serving size of 4 at Dallas ISD's South Oak Cliff High School on June 11, 2020 and alongside Dallas ISD at Cedar Crest Church of Christ on June 18th and June 25th from 11:00am – 1:00pm.
